Welcome!

The BLM Retirees and Friends is an informal social network of folks with a shared history of working together for the Bureau of Land Management.

Any current emplyee, former employee, or spouse of deceased employees of the BLM may become a member. Retirees from areas outside of Oregon and Washington may also become members.

Activities vary from location to location but often include sharing a meal, tours, holiday parties, etc. Each year there are three main events: Spring luncheon, Summer tour, and holiday parties.

SPRING LUNCHEON
April 29, 2016
Social hour 11 am, lunch served at 12 noon

What's on the menu? All come with ice cream and beverages (coffee, tea, milk)
    --Stuffed chicken breast with mashed potatoes OR
    --Grilled chicken breast with rice (gluten free) OR
    -Grilled cod filet with rice; OR
    --Chef's salad

The chef is willing to make a few plate-by-plate adjustments for those of us with food allergies.

Cost: $17.00 including an 18 percent gratuity

Changes to the Bylaws were approved at the Annual Spring luncheon in 2013 making BLM Retirees and Friends a part of the Public Land Foundation (a 503(c)1 corporation). The newly approved Bylaws have been posted on this site.

New Member Message
The team has developed a flyer for the retirement packages that describes our organization and invites new retirees to join us. Click here to see the DRAFT. We are investigating ways to get a message to new retirees.

Dues

The 2016 dues are a bargain (1983 price!) at only $5 which can be paid at the luncheon or mailed to Mel Chase. Dues cover the cost of mailing, website, and other incidentals.
